1. Download the game

Full F.E.A.R. Combat (SEC2) community installer. Free multiplayer, Windows, 1.9 GB.

If the download stops, click the button again. Your browser can resume it.

2. Get your CD-Key

You need a CD-Key to play. Register on FEAR-Community.org to get one.

3. Update SEC2

If you can't see the game servers in game, update SEC2. The recommended way is the FEAR Launcher: it updates SEC2 automatically, fixes common problems like invalid PlayerName or CD-Key errors, and helps you find servers.

Manual update (advanced users)

SEC2 2.2.2.909 for Windows. This is only the update, you still need the game installed.

1. Install the game first (step 1) and enter your CD-Key.
2. Extract the zip.
3. Copy GameClient.dll into the SEC2 folder inside the game folder, usually C:\Program Files (x86)\Sierra\FEAR Combat (SEC2)\SEC2\
4. Click Replace when Windows asks about overwriting the old file.
5. Start the game.

GameServer.dll in the zip is only for people hosting a server. Players can ignore it.
